Youth Camp 2004 Mindoro, Philippines
A Turning Point... God is faithful
The recently concluded Youth Camp held last May 4-8, 2004 at Puerto Galera was a success. Just like last year, we have committed to do it annually wherein all the youth of our church and all the students who are attendees in our campus ministry were trained and challenged to commit their lives to God. Through this weeklong camp, we envision youth who can be used by God to be leaders in their respective communities.
We, as a church, took this endeavor to develop christian leaders which we believe will bring great impact to the community at large.
The camp’s theme was focused on a growing relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ supported by the verse Romans 12:1-2 and aptly titled “Called… Challenged…Live!”, all the activities revolve around the theme and the objectives were met through this.
Some of the camp’s highlights are group devotion, plenary sessions, individual spiritual retreat, witnessing and also games. We gave a special emphasis on the topic “Love, Courtship & Marriage” thru the session “True Love Waits”; we know that this area of their lives played an important part in their daily living and would affect their adult life if not handled properly.
With the 46 delegates, the staffs included, we achieved the goal we've set for this camp and even exceeded what we expected in terms of spiritual and material provisions. God is behind to all these things. It has become a turning point for every participants to really have a committed life for the Lord. It also impressed a real life experience of God’s goodness and faithfulness.
For this reasons, we extend our sincerest gratitude to everybody who contributed and supported this camp. We thank you for exhibiting a generous heart and become channel of His blessings and continue to be one.
We praise God for what He showed us which enriched our walk with the Lord. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
