Mission Point Springville City
Mission Expedition: Serve the Less Fortunate
Five months ago BBC has prayed and organized a Daily Bible School in Springville, Cavite. The five-day DBS indeed inspired us to still continue what the church have started.
Every Sunday after our Worship Service we go to Springville to have a one-hour Bible Study with the children. The volunteer teachers for kids are Ate Beng, Kaye, Kuya Alex,
Jing and their assistants are Mari, Fei, Mhean, Marla, Cindy, Erica, Apes, Joiz, and Archei. The four teachers have separate classes. While Pastor Edward, Kuya Jake and
Kuya Rudy handles the class for the parents. The attendees every Sunday ranges from 50 to 80 people (both the kids and the parents). Indeed still many people hunger for God’s Word.
We added a Feeding Program for them. After the Bible Study, they will have a free meal (merienda). Added bonus to that is when chocolates, candies and gift wrapped clothes are given, each of them received.
Thanks to you Ate Jenny Nieuwsma and the rest of our partners there in FBC, Azle. They will be very, very happy this Christmas. The Christmas Party was held last December 19 3:00 – 6:00 P. M.
Still we need prayers because the Homeowners is somewhat not agreeing on what we are doing. Last December 12, we were not allowed to use the covered stage near the basketball court.
We use the grounds instead. God’s work has to continue come what may. He will always make a way to fulfill His mission. We’re praying for a place or a family that will open their house for a Bible Study for the parents.
Why are we doing all these things? Because we can’t afford to see other people not praising God, because we want to help and serve the less fortunate, because we love the Lord and we want to pass His love for His people.
